Privacy Policy

The short version is that we collect as little as we can, we don't read your mail, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

When you buy an address, we keep:

• The address you picked (like you@cuntymail.com).
• The inbox you forward to (like you@gmail.com).
• Stripe reference numbers for your customer account and subscription, so we can tell when you've paid, renewed, or cancelled.
• The status of your order, such as pending, active, paused, or deleted, and when it changed.

Stripe, not us, collects your name, billing address, and card details when you pay. We never see or store your card number. See Stripe's privacy policy.

Our servers also keep short-lived technical logs, like IP addresses and error messages, to keep the service running and to block abuse.

Your email

Your mail is forwarded by our email provider, MXroute. Messages pass straight through to your inbox and aren't stored. We don't read, scan for advertising, or keep copies of your mail.

If we're investigating an abuse report, we may look at the email someone sends us as evidence. We don't go digging through your mail.

How we use it

We only use your information to:

• set up and run your address,
• send you emails about your account (renewal problems, important changes),
• handle billing through Stripe, and
• prevent and investigate abuse.

No marketing emails, no ads, no selling or renting your data. Ever.

Who we share it with

Only the services we need to run cuntymail:

We'll also share information if the law requires it, such as a valid court order.

How long we keep it

• While your address is active, we keep the details above.
• After your address is deleted, we keep a basic record of the order (the address, your forwarding inbox, and its history) so we can handle disputes, refunds, and abuse reports. Email us if you'd like that record erased.
• Database backups roll off after 7 days, so an erased record is gone from them within a week.
• Stripe keeps payment records for as long as tax and financial laws require.

Your choices

You can email us at any time to:

• get a copy of what we hold about you,
• change your forwarding inbox, or
• delete your data. If your address is still active, that also means cancelling it.

Cookies

We don't use tracking cookies or analytics. Stripe's checkout page uses its own cookies to process payments safely.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll email you first.
